Thor: 3rd Lesson, Teaching Your Dog Stay

The next step to on leash obedience is teaching stay. This is the fourth official leash lesson for my German Shepherd puppy and in this video, I will show you how to build on the foundation laid through the previous lessons and use it to get your dog to willingly and happily stay. I will show you how to use food and movement to gain your puppies attention and then TEACH YOU how to teach them.  Watch Lee use a variety of tools to teach "stay" and see him counter the puppy.  It is so important to establish a solid STAY as that will significantly help when teaching the down.  Be patient, and spend several days working the stay before moving on to the next lesson!
